At Spitting Feathers’ Brewery Tap our aim is to bring you the best in good, honest food and drink – you might call it “real ale and real food”.

Free from colourings, flavourings and other artificial additives, Spitting Feathers award-winning beers are made only from the finest barley malts, wheat, yeast, hops and water. In the same way all the food at The Tap is freshly prepared from the best seasonal ingredients, sourced wherever possible, from local growers and suppliers including:

  • Bread from Born and Bread, Wirral
  • Vegetables from Francis Thomas, Chester
  • Locally reared meats – Dave Joinson Butchers, Chester Market.
  • Ice-cream – Cheshire Farm Ice-Cream, Tattenhall.

Meat, salad, vegetables, fruit and honey from the Spitting Feathers farm and brewery in Waverton, Chester, are all used including pork from our rare-breed pigs and our own range of homemade relishes, chutneys, condiments and preserves.

Please keep an eye on our menu which changes every few days to keep you interested and makes use of the freshest, in-season ingredients! These may include homemade “real pies”, casseroles, fish and chips, pasta, salads and sandwiches. Look out for smoked products from the brewery’s own smoker.
